About Horton Plaines National Park

The dull green grass accompanied with mountains that sport a lush forest makes up the most part of Horton Plaines National Park. Well known as a beautiful highland plateau found 2200m above sea level, the park is the origin for three prominent rivers in Sri Lanka: Mahaweli, Kelani and Walawe rivers.

Hidden within its vast grounds and trails are a few attractions two of which are the famous World’s End, and Bakers Fall.

World’s End: Experience the breath-taking view World’s End has to offer, which you can reach via a 4km walk through a trail which snakes through the park. The ideal time to savour the view from World’s End is between 6am and 10am.
